I almost forget I have a twitter account sometimes. I’ve only ever used it to repost blogs. I’m always on Facebook though since I can ‘see’ and ‘talk’ to people back in Pgh and Florida. You gotsta friend me if you’re on there! I have a few amazing photos of my travels…

Great quote, Desert Rat! For some reason I couldn’t get “Last night I dreamt of Manderly again” out of my head for the title. But it was more Stephen King’s use of it than from Rebecca. I find great comfort in the magic and wonder of life as well…especially out here. But that sensitivity also makes me feel negative influences as well….
Scott, I feel the negative ones, too. Here in the Desert Southwest there are whiffs of cannibalism and other violence by the ancients – I’ve felt chills in some of the ruins.
I’ve always felt drawn to the desert as well. From the first time I saw The Doors movie and they were tripping on Peyote. haha. I’ll have to visit you soon!
Oh, yeah, I remember that scene! Ha! My husband worked on the Navajo Res teaching for a bit and some of the female students would take peyote during their “monthlies.” Nice when it’s part of your religion and completely legal, no?
You and your lovely wife are always welcome! I might even let you use the “ancient” stove – it’ll cost you a bottle of Spain’s finest!
Yea, I’m definitely down with that religion! Actually, even without the drugs. I love the way that Native Americans practiced spirituality; it was/is a beautiful thing!

Ah that white devil is most powerful. I’m not even kidding when I say that the White Devil you speak of carries with him his own legion of demons which cause people (me) to do and say the most embarrassing things. It may be the collective pain body of the land where good vodka is made coming back to haunt us all. Even if it is only in the form of dance. At least it’s not Riverdance! Do you have anything on Youtube?
The middle one does hold the hand of mystery as well. It’s my friends bar, and I swear to God that it was a rainy, cloudy day. I was just getting a shot of the gentle light filtering through the windows. I had no idea, until I put them on the computer that it came out like that.
Whoa. The Heart of Darkness is stunning. Fantastic pictures, Scott. You’ve got a great eye with the camera. I wonder if one of the ghosts is the father of that guy in “Princess Bride” (Inago Montoya), who was trying to avenge his untimely death.
